Special thanks to Ryan for finally getting RSL out of the basement in the power rankings. Well, honestly, they have been horrible most of the year, but they are rounding into form for a late season run, just to fall short of the playoffs, again.

Ryan has a great article this week about the first half of the season, as well as Garber’s comments this week. As Ryan mentioned, we may see the announcement of 2 more teems by the end of this year to start play in 2010. From everything I hear, one will be in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle or Portland), while the second will be in the Northeast (NY, which would be a big mistake, or Philly, which would be much better).

This week, Ryan is justified putting RSL at the bottom of the Power Rankings. Good thing for RSL a new expansion team hasn’t been announced, or RSL would be in 14th.

Chivas USA 3, Colorado 1 — Rapids will be without Brown, Mastroeni and Beckerham
